Yes, I watch America's Next Top Model. And yes, it's a stupid show. Reactions to Cycle 9 Episode 8

8 girls left… time for the America’s Next Top Model judges to eliminate the “plus-sized” girl. I really thought this one, Sarah, had a chance. But last night Tyra proved to be the hypocrite we all know she is and gave Sarah the ax. Here’s why:

Every cycle, they go on and on about how the plus-sized girl has to have a plus-sized personality. She’s gotta be bouncy and fun, like Queen Latifah. And every cycle, right before the girl gets the boot, they say that she’s “disappearing.”

But not only was Sarah’s personality shrinking, she also appeared to be… losing weight! Looked to be about 3 pounds, tops. Gasp!

What kills me is that they brought her in knowing she wasn’t plus-sized. Tyra referred to her body type as “normal-sized,” actually. So then why all the hoopla week after week about her weight!? Normal girls gain a few pounds and they lose a few. Tyra of all people should know that.

So shame on you, Tyra. This cycle, you've proven that ANTM has become your outlet for shameless self-promotion and, though I’ve always been a true-blue fan, I’m very disappointed.

Sarah
