I think so. What I usually find most compelling when I watch reality TV, or any other kind of voyeuristic media exercise, is the awkward, quirky, nutty, and at times uneasy behavior of those under the camera's watchful eye. This is what gives meaning and dimension to the trully sublime and it is, I believe, the anchor that keeps us from drifting away into intellectual neverland. Without it, we're lost. Yes?

I find it reassuring; not only telling, but also emotionally powerful. Somewhere between the meh.. and wha? of whatching people go about their everyday business, there will always be moments of poignancy. It's finding them that's the rub.
